    Vision and Mission

    Vision

To ensure that justice is not denied to any citizen of Tripura by reason of economic or social disabilities, and to create a society where access to justice is a fundamental right realized in both letter and spirit. TSLSA envisions a fair, inclusive, and empathetic justice delivery system that upholds equality before the law and ensures that every individual—irrespective of gender, caste, creed, income, or location—can seek and secure justice without discrimination, delay, or difficulty.

Our vision is to build a legally empowered society by strengthening legal awareness, promoting alternative dispute resolution mechanisms, and fostering trust between the citizens and the justice delivery institutions. Through sustained efforts in legal literacy, legal aid, and mediation, the Authority strives to bridge the gap between law and the people it serves.

    Mission

    1. To Provide Free and Competent Legal Services
Extend free legal aid and assistance to the weaker and marginalized sections of society, including women, children, persons with disabilities, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other disadvantaged groups, ensuring that no individual is deprived of justice due to financial hardship.

    2. To Promote Legal Awareness and Empowerment
Conduct regular legal literacy and awareness programmes in both rural and urban areas to educate citizens about their rights, duties, and available legal remedies, thereby enabling them to participate effectively in the justice process.

    3. To Strengthen the Institutional Framework
Establish, support, and monitor the functioning of District Legal Services Authorities (DLSAs) and Sub-Divisional Legal Services Committees (SDLSCs) across the State for the effective and timely delivery of legal aid and services.

    4. To Encourage Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)
Promote Lok Adalats, mediation, and conciliation as people-friendly and cost-effective mechanisms for settlement of disputes, thus reducing the burden on courts and ensuring speedy justice.

    5. To Support Victims and Vulnerable Sections
Provide legal and psychological support to victims of crime, domestic violence, trafficking, and other social injustices, and coordinate with various governmental and non-governmental organizations for their rehabilitation and welfare.

    6. To Integrate Technology for Better Service Delivery
Leverage digital platforms and tools for online legal aid applications, virtual Lok Adalats, and awareness dissemination to ensure transparency, efficiency, and accessibility of legal services.

    7. To Foster Collaboration and Community Partnership
Work in close coordination with the judiciary, government departments, law colleges, NGOs, and community-based organizations to expand the reach and effectiveness of legal services across Tripura.

    8. To Uphold Transparency, Accountability, and Compassion
Maintain the highest standards of integrity, professionalism, and empathy in all operations and ensure that every action taken by the Authority contributes to the larger goal of justice, equality, and human dignity.
