Welcome to the official website of the Tripura State Legal Services Authority (TSLSA), the apex body at the state level responsible for providing legal services and ensuring access to justice for all. The Authority has been constituted under Section 6 of the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987, with the objective of implementing the mandate of free and competent legal services to the weaker and marginalized sections of society. The TSLSA formally came into existence in July 1998 and since then has been functioning as a key institution in promoting legal awareness, legal aid, and dispute resolution mechanisms in the State of Tripura.
The State Authority’s office is located near Fire Brigade Chowmohani, Agartala offering a central and easily accessible location for the public. It is situated approximately 10 kilometres away from the Agartala Airport and about 8 kilometres from the Agartala Railway Station, making it conveniently reachable for people traveling from different parts of the state as well as from outside Tripura.
